There are years when I just don’t know what to get (or give) my Hubs for Valentine’s Day. Sure, we exchange cards every year. Occasionally, presents. But after 22 years of being together, gift-swapping isn’t really a high priority for us – and we’re at a place in our lives where we don’t really *need* as much cr@p as we once thought we did.

But sometimes I still want to tell him I’m thinking about him – without spending a lot of money. That’s where crochet and knit and all-things “makey” come in. Because, you are spending your time and energy crafting and creating – your finished item holds the essence of you. A bit of magic if you will. That’s why I think these home-made things are so powerful.

So, today I want to share with you a few of the cutest Valentine’s Day knit and crochet patterns I have found on the internet. Obviously, (and it goes without saying) –  these are NOT the only patterns on the internet, they’re just a few of the cutest from my pinterest boards. =)

Do you remember conversation hearts? Well, there are a couple versions, depending on which background texture you like. (And maybe I’m the only one who notices that kind of thing.)

Or perhaps you’re looking to profess your love (of Love) in a more pronounced way? This Love Banner might be what you’re looking for.

Looking for something more original than a plushie, stuffed bear? Then these crochet cuddly critters might help. What I like about them is that they could also work for children, or even treats for teachers. =)

I might not wear a headband – BUT I think these little lovebird are too cute to not include. (I’d probably make them without. )

And if you have a cat – your’s probably does this! So I include it here because it’s cute and it makes me laugh. =)

And if you’re looking for a simple way to give your Honey (or loved ones) a smooch – these lips pretty much say it all.

Finally, in case you are wondering…. Here’s what I made my Hubs.

And be sure to follow my board – I’m always adding more inspiration.
